2011 Sales
Coco Chanel, USA Warmblood
2001 Thoroughbred Mare 15.2 HH
2001 Beautiful Buckskin dappled TB mare. At 15.2 hh, Coco has proven to be an excellent broodmare and mother, as well as a very comfortable riding horse. She was schooled in dressage and carried both novice and expert riders. I rode her extensively on the trail going through water, over wooden bridges, through the woods--she handled it all. She has three correct and lovely gaits--her trot is the smoothest I've ever ridden. Correct legs, a perfect uphill topline and a beautiful head and eye, Coco would be suitable for dressage, as a hunter and as very nice overall riding mare. Her RPSI inspection yielded an 8 for her trot. Dam to Winterlake Xaniah and Winterlake Lexus, both sired by Cardi, pictured below. Level A
Winterlake Yvette, b. Apr. 27, 2011
Purebred Welsh Cob
(North Forks Cardi x Rose Lane Victoria)
This purebred cob filly is soooooo fancy; her movement is effortless. Pictured at 3 months, she's substantial in body, has correct limbs, active hocks and knees and flips leads as she canters around the field. She sports a blaze, two hind and one foreleg of stockings. Yvette is the second filly on the video. Level C
Winterlake Lexus (North Forks Cardi x Coco Chanel, TB)
This filly arrived on May 13 and is pictured at 10 days young. Lexus has a strikingly feminine face and head, huge eyes, and has just a spot of white on her forehead. A full sister to her 2010 sister Xaniah, I predict Lexus will shed out a smutty buckskin color. Very docile and free moving, she will finish over 15 hh; her dam is an RPSI approved mare. Level B

Silverwind Annlynn 2007 Purebred Cob Mare
(*Ynysgerwen Cymro x *Fronarth Marianne)
Annlynn is a strong, athletic, personable and kind mare. She would not only be an outstanding equine partner for a chosen discipline but is a character to boot. She's brave, hasn't a foolish bone in her body and is clever figuring things out. She has the best mind of any cob I've encountered. I have never owned, nor been around a cob, or any horse or pony, especially a mare, I enjoy more and we'd keep her if circumstances permitted. 14.2 right on the mark and filling out nicely. We will not take less than $10k for her, more as training progresses. Owned by Deb & Jerry Waller, Trenton, FL, silverwindak@yahoo.com, Ph: 352-562-2733
Chica Bonita CFP
This bay filly will be an amateur's/junior's dream. Incredible temperament, personality plus. Chica loves to be groomed and handled and moves uphill with suspension and expression. The Welsh Cob X Tb has been a well known successful cross in Europe for many years and produces athletic, balanced individuals that excel in many disciplines. Dam Mischka was shown in lower level eventing successfully before coming to Cottage Farm. She then turned to dressage for two seasons, winning at Training to 2nd level at recognized shows with scores in the mid to high 60s before becoming a broodmare. She is one of the nicest horses in temperament and trainability I have ever owned and she passes these traits on to her babies. Chica is tractable and trainable with lovely gaits, correct conformation and THE BEST personality!
Reg Half- Welsh and eligible Weser-Ems, ASPR & RPSI. Health issues forces quick sale; otherwise, this filly would be priced much higher. $9500 Contact chicarette@gmail.com, located in Florida
Winterlake Atticus (North Forks Cardi x Bro A Brynn Serennu)
This big-moving elastic colt is pictured at 2 months and is already showing the uphill movement of his sire. Atticus is the first-time cross with the Llanarth lines of Serenuu. He is big and has good cob flat bone; check out that neck and shoulder. He has two hind stockings and a medium blaze. Atticus is bold and seeks the attention of people.
Congratulations to Susan & Mel Hughes for choosing Atticus. He will not disappoint and I know he will be living high with his half-brother "Teddy" on your beautiful Sparta, Tennessee farm.
Winterlake Ziggurat (North Forks Cardi x Stagecoach Chloe)
Congratulations to Mark and Charlotte Rogers on their choice of "Ziggy" as a future stallion and dressage prospect. Purebred Welsh Cob Ziggy has the presence of a young king. He moves with a free shoulder, springy hocks and knees and suspension in every gait. He glides along in an uphill frame. This colt shows promise to make his mark. Pictured at 2 months, video the same. Ziggurat is Charlotte's second Winterlake choice, as she purchased Ultimate Jacque and he is coming along fabulously as a 3 y.o. Charlotte has high hopes of taking a Welsh Cob to the London Para-Olympics in 2012. Thank you, Mark and Char for giving your horses the very best!
Winterlake Xaniah Part-bred Sport Filly
Congratulations to local rider and horse lover, Jenny Johnson for choosing Xaniah as her future riding mount. With her smooth gaits, gorgeous good looks and big size, I look forward to seeing Jenny in the dressage ring, the hunter ring, and on the trail.
Winterlake Vera Wang Purebred Welsh Cob Filly
Cardi and Chloe have produced an exceptional sport filly. By doubling up on the Hastening lines (Cardi's dam is a full sis to Hastening Eclipse) I feel as though Vera has exceeded my expectations. She has the 'it' factor with a trot that will garner oooohs and ahhhhhs--knee and reach. Her markings are almost identical to her dam: narrow blaze, two hind socks, and some ermine markings above the coronet band on the right fore. Cardi's trademark shoulder has given her a tremendous front end. With her dam's uphill powerful movement from behind, there is nothing this precocious, friendly filly won't be able to accomplish. She is Lifetime registered with USEF and her WPCSA registration is pending. Recently inspected, she earned Premium Gold with an 8.0.
Congratulations to Beth Anderson of Georgia on the purchase of this lovely yearling filly. I feel great about the match and connection these two seem have.
Winterlake Ultimate Jacque Born June 13, 2008
(*Ynysgerwen Cymro x Winterlake Juliet)
Jacque could be your next super performance steed. As his name implies, he's a 'jock' and he shows great promise under saddle in dressage or eventing. He moves fluidly with extension and suspension, is highly trainable, and is a kind and respectful boy. In late July he began carrying a saddle, being lightly longed at the walk, trot, halt, and has taken to long lining and ground driving. He loads, stands for a bath, and travels and works well without other horses around. He has been well handled since birth and was ponied on the trail as a yearling. He was perfect going through water and over wooden bridges. He's currently seesawing to his finished height that I estimate will be at least 14.3. He's now 14 1/2 hh at the wither and 14.2 at the top of his croup. Pictured in August 2010.
SOLD to Charlotte Rogers, North Carolina! Best of success in the dressage arena.
Bocelli AF 2009 Black Weser Ems Gelding
(North Forks Cardi x Mimosa AF)
Super Fancy 2009 Black Weser Ems gelding who strongly reflects his sire's character, temperament and outstanding movement. "Boo" has earned a premium award at his Weser-Ems inspection with many compliments over his type and ground covering elastic movement with much suspension. Bocelli’s dam, Mimosa, is a gorgeous MMB GOV/Weser-Ems Trakehner/Arab mare that herself shows considerable talent, rideability and outstanding work ethic, and currently is back in training in her own progression towards FEI levels. He has sweet, inquisitive temperament, a true pocket pony character that loves attention. He will be an outstanding prospect for either professional or amateur to develop into the ultimate sport horse ride or drive with his huge elastic movement. Boo has been sold to Canada.

Winterlake Juliet (North Forks Prince George x Okeden Jolly)
Sold May 2009 to Edie Gwan, Palo Alto, California. Thank you for loving Juliet as you do and giving her such a fabulous life.
From Edie: “I absolutely adore Juliet and am so grateful she came into my life! She's so willing and fun to ride. I'm always impressed with her wonderful attitude. Today we rode a bit in the arena (practicing our dressage, at which I think she's doing quite well), and then we joined a bunch of friends and went out on the trail for an hour. It was so relaxing and pleasant, we were on the buckle the whole way, and she gets along great with all the horses. No problem being first, last, or in the middle. This Friday we're starting up a Quadrille team! And I think Juliet will enjoy it. I'm thinking of doing a little really low jumping with her (like 2 feet). I think she'd enjoy it as cross training. She has lots of fans at the Ranch. People think she looks like a mini warmblood and keep asking me what breed she is, but I think she looks like a fabulous Cob :-) I love the feathers and her pony head and gorgeous tail and soft eyes. She's a super representative of her breed."
Winterlake Gulliver (North Forks Prince George x *Okeden Jolly)
Sold to Yvonne Billera, Whidbey Island, Washington

Debuting at First Level and First Level Musical Freestyle during the summer of 2011, Lisa and Gulliver garnered scores in the 70s and finished the show season as Reserve Champion First Level for the Whidbey Equestrian Center summer series. Gulliver was also USDF All Breed 2nd for the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America. Team Gulliver is now schooling flying changes--thank you, Yvonne and Lisa for adoring and enjoying Gulliver.
