Mares Our broodmares are fed a diet formulated by Ph.D. Dr. George Dawson to ensure that all nutritional needs are met. Mares and foals have access to pasture, sunshine and are ridden or ponied on the trail through their pregnancies. Foals are well handled and by the time they are weaned, are registered with the WPCSA, Lifetime USEF and USDF and may have been shown in a DSH class or inspected with one of the registries in which Cardi is approved. Standing 16.2 and nine years old, Gretta was owned and ridden by an accomplished adult amateur. A cyst has rendered her a broodmare. She is very sweet and easy going and we're very much anticipating her first foal for us. Gretta's sire, Zeoliet, is by the very modern breeding stallion Ramiro, who has earned the tag Euro-stallion. Ramiro is the sire of several approved stallions in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands as well as the sire of internationally known horses such as: Donau, Ramzes, Almox Rosella, Rinnetou Z, Rolex, Zamira and Ratina Z. Zoeliet's dam, Sargab, has been declared "prestatie" at the age of 10, which made her the youngest "prestatie" mare in the Netherlands. Sargab has also produced the Z-level dressage horses Wirbeleau and Bauxiet. The dam's sire is the thoroughbred Abgar, one of the most influential Dutch sporthorse producers. Zeoliet was a great success at the performance test at Ermelo with 9.2 for dressage, 9 for jumping under saddle and 9.5 for free jumping. Zeoliet has been successful in the National Stallion Competition and he went extraordinarily well in ZZ dressage with Roger Schulkens. Zeoliet is high on the dressage index but also on the jumping index. In 1995 Zeoliet was 12th place at the World Breeding Ranking for Showjumping sires. North Forks Tickle Your Fancy 1991 Section C Welsh Cob Mare (*Synod Gladstone x Penrhyn Nutcracker) At just under 12.2 hh, this dynamo of a mare has produced champions, has won in performance been an in-hand champion and been a high point winner. In 2006, Tickle was American Sportpony Registry inspected and named Site Reserve Champion behind her own colt. Tickle was originally purchased by Grazing Fields Farm and when the farm dispersed, she eventually found her way to Winterlake. She produced three outstanding sport ponies for me, who are now making their marks in Washington and New York.
