Winterlake was established with the importation of Welsh Cob foundation foal, *Okeden Jolly in 1985. The cob stallion, Brynarian Black Magic arrived the next year, and the loving and breeding of Welsh Cobs was under way. The farm has produced many exceptional animals and matching the desires of the buyers to the talents of the cobs has been a true joy.

In the late 80s, friend and owner of Avondale Welsh Ponies in Washington, Ann Lamb, and I, promoted the Welsh Cob in this country by co-editing and producing a newsletter, The North American Cob Connection. We kept breeders in touch with each other and shared the glories of owning, breeding and enjoying our cobs. Although 'NACC' is no longer being published, promoting the versatility of this great breed in all venues of disciplines, continues to be a goal of mine.

You are welcome to visit; the farm is 10 miles SE of Eugene. Please call first. To visit Cardi, contact Jessica Wisdom in Yelm, Washington, at 253-230-9764.
